New members offer proven machine safety expertise and guidance for industrial companies
MILWAUKEE — Rockwell Automaton today announced four new additions to its Machine Safety System Integrator program. Created in 2014, the program helps industrial companies identify safety system integrators with current safety standards expertise, a proven track record in building safety systems, and knowledge of contemporary safety technologies.
“Industrial companies are realizing that implementing safety doesn’t need to inhibit productivity,” said Mark Eitzman, safety market development manager, Rockwell Automation. “As our program expands, they can more easily find system integrators who know how to apply safety to improve productivity. The program now includes 37 system integrators located around the world and specializing in a variety of machine types.”
The four new members of the program include the following:
- R.L. Consulting Inc., a Rockwell Automation Recognized System Integrator, specializes in electrical control system integration in the pulp and paper, steel, textile, automotive and wood processing industries.
- Servicios Integrales en Automatizacion S.A de C.V., a Rockwell Automation Recognized System Integrator, specializes in motion control, drive systems and integration services for a number of industries, including automotive, metals, food and material handling.
- V&C Corporation SAC, a Rockwell Automation Recognized System Integrator, focuses on providing automation solutions and optimizing industrial processes, with an emphasis on improving efficiency, productivity and safety.
- Foth, a Rockwell Automation Recognized System Integrator, offers control, machine safety and process solutions across a range of industries including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and pulp and paper.
To be eligible for the Machine Safety System Integrator program, candidates must be current Solution Partners or Recognized System Integrators in the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork program with three to five years of machine safety experience. They must complete an intensive education and assessment process, but Rockwell Automation also recognizes third-party certification from industry-accepted organizations, such as TÜV or exida.
After meeting these initial requirements, each candidate’s safety engineers complete training modules on topics, such as global safety standards, safety risk assessment practices, and safeguarding mitigation and validation. Finally, each candidate must submit a machine safety project that is consistent with global standards.
