Calibration Wizard

Calibration Wizard

Use this wizard to calibrate the analog devices. To perform the calibration process, the device must be online with the controller and at least one channel must be selected.
Although the purpose of calibrating analog devices is the same for input and output devices, to improve the device’s accuracy and repeatability, the procedures involved differs for each.
  • When calibrating input devices, use current, voltage, or ohms calibrators to send a signal to the device to calibrate it.
  • When calibrating output devices, use a Digital Multimeter (DMM) to measure the signal the device is sending out.
These options are available in
Calibration Wizard
:
  • Calibrate channels in groups
    • Use this option to apply a reference signal to all of the selected channels at the same time.
    • Enter calibration mode
    • Attach low reference signals to all selected channels
    • Sample all of the selected channels
    • Attach high reference signal to all of selected channels
    • Sample all of the selected channels
  • Calibrate channels one at a time
    • Use this option to apply a reference signal to the selected channels one-at-a-time, and then move on to the next channel.
    • Enter calibration mode
    • For the first selected channel, attach low reference signal
    • Sample the first selected channel
    • For the first selected channel, attach high reference signal
    • Sample the first selected channel
    • Attach low reference signal and high reference signal for each of the remaining selected channels
