View messages for the tags and logic in the project

View error, warning, and information messages for the logic in your project. The
Messages
tab allows you to go to the location associated with the message and correct the issue. You do not have to open the routine to review messages.
  1. If the
    Output
    pane does not appear, in the pane bar, select Output icon
    Output
    or select
    View > Output > Messages
    .
  2. In
    Output
    under
    Messages
    , select the option to view the desired messages:
    • Entire project
      . View messages for the entire project. This is the default.
    • Current tab
      . View messages for the current tab in focus.
  3. In
    Description
    , read the description of the message.
  4. In
    Location
    , select the link to open the location in the routine so that you can resolve the issue.
    TIP: To sort by location, select the
    Location
    column header to toggle between ascending and descending order.
  5. (optional) In
    Search
    , type a portion of the description or message.
    Messages
    returns rows that meet the search criteria.
  6. Select the
    Errors
    ,
    Warnings
    , and
    Messages
     buttons to filter the display to show those message types. Each button indicates the message count for that type.
