View the status of operations
View the status of an operation, such as deploying a project to one or more controllers. The
Console
tab on the Output pane displays the results of the operation, including alerts and error states.
TIP:
The Output status information reflects operations for the current user in their current FactoryTalk Design Studio session. The information does not persist across sessions and is not shared across users. For example, if User A deployed last week, he or she will not see that operation in the output console even if that was User A's most recent deployment. If User A and User B are both logged in and User B deploys, User A will not see a record of User B's deployment in the output console.
- If theOutputpane does not appear, in the pane bar, selectOutputor selectView > Output > Console.
- In theConsoletab, check these indicators.
- The controller list displays the controllers involved in a deployment:
- A green check mark on the left indicates the project deployed successfully to that controller. A yellow warning or a red error appears when there is a problem in the deployment. Hover over a warning or error indicator to see details of unsuccessful deployments.
- A green dot on the right indicates the controller is online, and a gray dot indicates the controller is offline. A red or yellow dot indicates a connection issue.
- The Event table lists deployment steps:
- At the top of the table is a time stamp for the most recent successful deployment to the controller.
- Green check marks, yellow warnings, and red errors appear to the left of the events.
- (optional) InSearch, type a portion of a controller name, event, or description to display related events.
