Select a project controller
Rockwell Automation systems hardware diagrams as represented in CAD tools may have multiple controllers. Use the
Select Project Controller
dialog box to select a project controller for the import of data into a new Logix Designer
application.Before you begin:
- Select a data exchange file (.aml or .rdf) to import into the project. For a description of these file types, seeData exchange with other software applications.
To select a project controller:
- In theSelect Project Controllerdialog box, examine the list of controllers and their properties.
- Select a controller. The selected controller becomes the project controller in theLogix Designerapplication. The project controller contains the tags, tasks, programs, and all other components that control devices within the I/O configuration.
- SelectNextto go to theSelect Modulesdialog box
