HMI text for PHLS instructions

Use the
HMI
tab of the
PHLS Properties
dialog box to enter the information provided by the selected Process High or Low Selector (PHLS) instruction or function block.
To enter HMI text for PHLS instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>

  2. Open the
    HMI
    tab.
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Library name
      . The text used for associating instructions with the display library for faceplate call-up.
    • Instruction name
      . The text used for associating the instruction name for faceplate call-up.
    • Display label
      . The label that appears on the graphic HMI symbol.
    • Area name for security
      . The area name for area-based security scheme adopted in the HMI.
    • Help button URL
      . The user-defined URL for accessing help from the HMI.
    • Enable navigation to an object with more information
      . Enables HMI to navigate to an object with more information.
    • Number of decimal places
      . The numeric entry for the number of decimal places to be displayed on the HMI for the output.
    • Engineering units
      . The text for units to display on the HMI.
  4. View the read-only parameters:
    • Device state
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state: High select or Low select.
    • Device issues
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions: None or Configuration error.
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
