Specify the Source Key File Location

To protect a component, specify a source key file.

To specify a source key file, go to

Tools > Security> Configure Source Protection

. If a source key file location is not specified, or an sk.dat file does not exist at that location, answer the prompts to specify the sk.dat file location or create the source key file. After returning to the

Source Protection Configuration

dialog box, the selected location appears under

Source Key Provider

.

To change a previously specified location, click the

Specify

button on the Source Protection Configuration dialog box. When specifying a new location, the sk.dat file is not relocated to the new location, and is not removed.

Alternately, clear the source key file location using the

Source Configuration

dialog box.
