You’ve no doubt heard the theories that diversity is good for business and inclusion is great for employee retention.
It makes sense. The more diverse thoughts and opinions you gather to solve a problem, the better your solutions will be. The more included employees feel at work, the better they will perform – and statistics show that they’ll choose to stay and grow their careers.
We know these things are true, yet so many of us experience something less. Inclusion is invisible, so how do you measure it? How do you know people are experiencing it, and how do you know the impact it’s having on your bottom line?
What we know
At Rockwell Automation, we know that through inclusion, we create an environment where everyone can do their best work; and through engagement, we optimize employee performance and our bottom line, and increase customer loyalty.
But how do we know? And how can we share our insights with others? What are other companies and thought leaders doing that could help us do and be better?
There’s so much to talk about and we want to encourage that discussion – to pose the hard questions and work through the answers.
So, let’s talk
To open the discussion we’ve created a new experience and invite you to be part of it: during Automation Fair 2019 (Chicago, Nov. 20-21), we created an intimate setting for ‘bold conversations.’ Thought leaders will spearhead a handful of discussions about inclusion and diversity.
It’s not a stage where an expert will share best practices, but rather 10 unique, 30-minute sessions featuring conversations with and among people who have the same questions and challenges around how culture, community outreach, supplier diversity and choosing the right talent can impact your business.
Panelists will stay after their sessions to answer your questions and dig deeper into details with you. The full schedule outlines each topic and the time – everything from talking about how to change the status quo in a non-inclusive environment, to how to build an inclusion and diversity strategy that works.
Can’t join us live? Recorded sessions will be available here following the show. We’re posting highlights throughout Automation Fair so follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Bring your questions and your curiosity. We can’t promise easy answers, but we will promise authentic discussion.
