Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, recently closed out its flagship European event, ROKLive EMEA 2022, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Industry leaders from across Europe came together to learn, discuss, and discover innovative smart manufacturing solutions with firsthand experiences focusing on the Connected Enterprise and the power of digital transformation. Alongside the keynote presentations, which focused on the market’s most relevant topics, paying special attention to the importance of industrial innovation, collaboration and sustainability, there was also a panel from Rockwell Automation customers that discussed their digital transformation experiences.
Here, senior representatives from BIC, Harro Höfliger, and Ronchi Packaging spoke about the important nature of their relationship with Rockwell Automation, highlighting the positive impact of solutions such as the Plex Manufacturing Execution System and digital twins have had on their transformations. Speaking on the panel Rogelio Demay, BIC Senior Manager EMEA IT Manufacturing, stated: “The Plex MES has helped us to break down siloes and simplify BIC’s overall IT footprint with one simple MES software that now drives the majority of our factory functions.”
ROKLive EMEA 2022 also served as an example of Rockwell Automation’s wider PartnerNetworkTM ecosystem and the success it brings to customers. As part of the Connected Enterprise Expo, members from across the ecosystem all showcased their wide-ranging solutions emphasizing how the future of smart manufacturing is one that will truly be built on collaboration.
Many speakers throughout the event, including Rockwell Automation’s Head of Customer Sustainability Andrea Ruotolo, also championed the importance of becoming more sustainable organizations, outlining how transforming digitally and becoming a more Connected Enterprise will be beneficial to both the industry and the planet simultaneously.
The event was also attended by CUBIC, which was recently acquired by Rockwell Automation and is now part of Rockwell’s power control business in the intelligent devices operating segment. Based in Bronderslev, Denmark, CUBIC specializes in modular systems for the construction of electrical panels, helping serve fast-growing industries such as renewable energy, data centers, and infrastructure.
Delivered by Rockwell Automation’s global and EMEA leadership team, the keynote sessions were some of the highlights of the three-and-a-half-day event. These featured talks from senior Rockwell leadership, including Åsa Arvidsson, Regional Vice President, North Region, who discussed the Connected Enterprise Production System and the market forces driving investments in technology. These talks and panel discussions from the ROK Studio sessions, including interviews with PartnerNetworkTM members and customer panels, are available to view on the Rockwell Automation YouTube channel.
Arvidsson said: “We were delighted to see everyone at ROKLive EMEA 2022 in person and especially proud of the positive feedback we have received from our attendees. The event was a huge success, and we were honored to host such an informative and engaging event that gives all our customers and partners the opportunity to learn about the future of smart manufacturing, as well as network in person.”
“All our sessions and panels not only offered key insights into the topics set to dominate the boardrooms in the coming years, but also offered attendees the opportunity to get hands-on involvement and experience with the solutions set to generate positive industrial change. We feel inspired to continue to lead this wave of change for smart manufacturing and are excited to see everyone again at our future events.”
