Frequency Control page

Use the
Frequency Control
 page to configure the frequency control parameters for a drive.
TIP: The
Frequency Control
 page is available when the
Axis Configuration
 on the
General
page is set to
Frequency Control
.
TIP: To open the Frequency Control page:
  1. In the
    Controller Organizer
    , expand the
    Motion Groups
     folder, and double-click an axis.
  2. From the
    Axis Properties
     dialog box, in
    Categories
    , click the
    General
    tab.
  3. Click the
    Axis Configuration
     list and select
    Frequency Control
    .
  4. In
    Categories
    , click the
    Frequency Control
    tab.
These are the parameters for the
Frequency Control
 page.
Parameter
Description
Frequency Control Method
Select the type of frequency control device associated with the axis.
The available options include:
  • Basic Volts/Hertz (R/F)
  • Fan/Pump Volts/Hertz
  • Sensorless Vector
  • Sensorless Vector Economy
Maximum Voltage
Enter a value in Volts (RMS) that sets the highest phase-to-phase voltage the drive device can output.
Maximum Frequency
Enter a value (Hz.) that sets the highest frequency the drive device can output.
Break Voltage
Enter a value in Volts (RM) that sets the phase-to-phase output voltage of the drive device at the
Break Frequency
 where boost ends. Only applicable in Basic Volts/Hertz mode.
Break Frequency
Enter a value (Hz.) that sets the output frequency of the drive device at the
Break Voltage
 where boost ends. Only applicable in Basic Volts/Hertz mode.
Start Boost
Enter a value in Volts (RMS) that sets phase-to-phase voltage boost level for starting and accelerating. Only applicable in Basic Volts/Hertz mode.
Run Boost
Enter a value in Volts (RMS) sets the phase-to-phase voltage boost level for steady-state speed or deceleration. Only applicable in Basic Volts/Hertz and Fan/Pump Volts/Hertz modes.
Parameters
Opens the
Motion Axis Parameters
 dialog box to modify the Motion Axis parameters.
The
Parameter List
 dialog box may contain more attributes than the associated dialog box. In some cases, attributes that are contained on the
Parameter List
 dialog box are not on the associated dialog box.
Velocity Limit Positive
Enter a value in position units/sec for the velocity positive limit for the device's summing junction.
If this value exceeds this velocity limit, the device clamps the velocity reference to this limit and sets the velocity limit status bit.
Velocity Limit Negative
Enter a value in position units/sec for the velocity negative limit for the device's summing junction.
If the value exceeds this velocity limit, the device clamps the velocity reference to this limit and sets the velocity limit status bit.
