Unable to modify source protection for the following component(s)

This table describes error conditions that can prevent changes to component source protection.
Error condition
Possible solution
  • The license or source key is not available.
  • Do not have the required permission.
Insert a
CmStick
 with the required license with
Protect
 permission, or add the source key to the sk.dat file for the component(s).
The Add-On Instruction is sealed.
Unseal the Add-On Instruction, apply source protection, and re-seal it.
The
Viewable
 option for the component was not selected or unselected.
When attempting to set or clear the
Viewable
 option, only select source-protected components for which the source key is available.
License Source Protection is not supported for Sequential Function Chart (SFC) or Function Block Diagram (FBD) routines.
