Determine the Runtime Tools entitlement required for your application

To use FactoryTalk Optix Runtime Tools, you need to purchase an entitlement and allocate it to your organization.
Before purchasing one, determine the Runtime Tools entitlement size:
  1. Select your organization name in the upper right corner of the web page.
  2. Select the
    FactoryTalk Optix
    tile.
    NOTE: If the
    FactoryTalk Optix
    tile has a lock on it, you still need to create or select an organization.
  3. Authenticate as required.
  4. On the FactoryTalk Optix landing page, select
    Runtime Sizing
    .
  5. Complete the wizard to determine the recommended package size for your application. As you complete the wizard, the top of each page displays an updated number of tokens and consequently a recommended package size from XS to XL.
    NOTE: Tooltips are available for each selection in the Runtime Tools Sizing tool. Hover your mouse over each option for more information on the feature.
    1. Select presentation
      page: Select either or both
      Native HMI Client (1 token)
      and
      Web HMI Client
      . Under
      How many sessions
      select the number of sessions (tokens), then select
      Next
      .
      TIP: A
      Native HMI Client
      presentation includes all of the classic controls data, images, and drawings. A
      Web HMI Client
      presentation includes those same items and makes them accessible from one or multiple HTML5 web clients.
    2. Select features
      page: Select the features that you wish to use in your application. Select either
      Select All (# tokens)
      ,
      None
      , or any individual features and then
      Next
      .
    3. Controller connections
      page: Select the controllers that you wish to use in your project, then select
      Next
      .
    4. Select interoperability
      page: Select features as needed, then
      Next
      .
    5. Preview and purchase
      page: View a summary of your selections and the final recommended package size for purchase.
  6. Under
    Runtime Package and Support Options
    , select a support option.
  7. To upgrade your Runtime Tools option from the recommended size to the following one, select the size option that you wish to purchase under
    Would you like to upgrade to Station Runtime xxx (xx) (# tokens)?
    NOTE:
    xxx (xx) (# tokens)
    may vary depending on requirements.
  8. Once you have determined the required Runtime Tools package size, you can purchase the entitlement on the Commerce Portal. To make this easier, select
    Copy Catalog Number
    to copy the selected catalog number to the clipboard. You can then paste the catalog number into the Commerce Portage search bar or any required document. To open the Commerce Portal, select
    Purchase FactoryTalk Optix
    .
The Commerce Portal page launches the page where you complete your purchase. Log in, then paste the catalog number into the search bar. Select to add the catalog number to your cart.
