Enter a communications driver and path manually

Enter a communications driver and path manually if a communications driver is not in the communication software edition network topology.
To enter a communications driver and path manually
  1. At the top of the
    Who Active
     dialog box, right click the
    Who Active
     title bar and select
    Advanced
    .
  2. In the
    Driver and Path Configuration
     dialog box, click the
    Driver
    list and select a driver.
    TIP:
    If the current driver name appears in quotes, the device is not a running driver. Open the
    Who Active
     dialog box and configure the driver.
  3. Select the CIP path to the desired controller, and click
    OK
    to accept the selections.
    TIP:
    Manually-entered drivers and paths do not appear in the
    Who Active
     dialog box. Drivers and paths appear wherever the current path normally displays, with the driver and path concatenated, such as AB_KTC-1\2,6,1,0.
