Change a ladder diagram instruction

Change a tag value in a ladder element operand that has parameters. You can change an operand that displays a caret. You cannot change the End rung. Positioning the insertion point on the End rung disables editing.
Prerequisites
To change a ladder diagram instruction
  1. In the ladder diagram, select the instruction.
  2. Double-click a parameter of a ladder logic instruction operand and enter a new value either:
    • Manually. If you know the exact spelling of the tag owner and tag, enter the tag manually. Use the format Owner.Tag.
    • Using Data Item Browser.
    1. In the property, select Down Caret Icon.
    2. In
      Data Item Browser
      , select the tag. The connection to the tag appears in the format Owner.Tag.
      TIP: When you enter an existing tag value in a parameter, the download fault files of the operand update automatically.
    3. (optional) To discard a new parameter value, press
      Esc
      .
