Alarm manager

The
Alarm manager
widget lists all alarms configured in a system and their current states. Use the it to monitor and interact with the alarms on the HMI device.

Overview

Alarm tables contain sample data representative of the data an alarm table may display. The sample data inserts data of average length into the default columns in the alarm table. Sample data appears for the purposes of configuring the alarm table.
Alarm manager show all alarms and for each alarm you can get more details. On alarm summary depending on your filter you only see the active and unacknowledged alarms.
Alarm Manager list on default is sorted by alarm
Name.
The alarm summary shows your current alarms which require operator interaction. The alarm manager shows all your alarms (even the ones not currently In Alarm) and is particularly useful if you want to unshelve, unsuppress, or re-enable alarms which are no longer appearing on the alarm summary.
Use the alarm manager to:
  • Disable alarms;
  • Enable alarms;
  • Select alarms;
  • Shelve individual alarm conditions;
  • Shelve entire alarm (all conditions);
  • Sort and filter alarms;
  • View alarms;
  • View alarm condition details;
  • View alarm quality;
  • Unshelve alarm conditions;
  • Unshelve alarms;
  • Suppress;
  • Unsuppress;
  • Reset alarms counts;

Alarm manager
widget displays the following columns of information:

Description
Status
Alarm status. The following values are available:
  • normal
  • In alarm, acked, confirmed
  • In alarm, acked, unconfirmed
  • In alarm, unacked, unconfirmed
Confirmed
Specifies if the alarm is confirmed or unconfirmed
Inhibit State
The value applied to an alarm that inhibits the alarm. When an alarm has more than one inhibit state, the icon of the highest inhibit state appears in the table. If no icon appears, the alarm has good quality, and is not disabled, suppressed, or shelved.
Duration Shelving Time
Displays elapsed shelving time.
Expiration Time
Displays the time when the alarm expired.
Name
Name of the alarm object that generated the alarm event.
Source variable
The variable monitored by the event.
In
Properties
, you can select which alarm summary table columns display, and disable or hide specific buttons.
