Request remote assistance
Request remote assistance when you need an issue in your system resolved remotely.
- On the device, open the screen with theFactoryTalk Remote AccessWidget.If you created your project using the OptixPanel template on the start page, selectSettingsand then selectFT Remote Access.If theFactoryTalk Remote Accessapplication is not configured to allow you to submit assistance requests, theFactoryTalk Remote Accesswidget displaysAssistance requests are disabled for this device. Please contact your System Administrator.When remote assistance in theFactoryTalk Remote Accesswidget is enabled, you can submit a request for assistance.
- SelectAssistance.
- If in theFactoryTalk Remote Accessapplication contact details are required, fields appear for you to complete:
- Name. Your name.
- Contact information. Your phone number or email address.
- Description. The description of the issue.
- SelectRequest Assistance.The request is sent to theFactoryTalk Remote Accessapplication and the button displaysAssistance Requested.NOTE: If the remote access request is closed remotely from theFactoryTalk Remote Accessapplication, the request is automatically closed on the device. If assistance is no longer required, you can close the request inFactoryTalk Remote Accesson the local device.
