Assign a user to a group or role
Manage users and groups from the dashboard page to assign users to groups and roles in order and create a hierarchy of rights and privileges.
Create users and groups and roles and then assign users to the groups and roles.
- In the main toolbar, selectOpen dashboard pageManage users and groups.
- On the dashboard page, either:
- UnderUsers, drag a user onto a group underGroupsor onto a role underRoles. You can also drag a group or role onto a user. Hold downShiftorCtrlto select and drag consecutive or multiple selections.
- Select one or more users, selectAssign to groups or roles, select the groups and roles, and then selectApply.
TIP: appears next to a group or role that is already assigned to a user. You can assign the user to a group or role fromProject viewby dragging the user to the group or role inProject view.
The user appears under the group on the dashboard page.
