Configure output limits on non-isolated analog output modules
Use the
Limits
tab on the Module Properties
dialog box to set clamping and ramp limits that can prevent damage to equipment.To configure output limits on non-isolated analog output modules:
- In theController Organizer, right-click the module and selectProperties.
- On theModule Properties dialog, select theLimitstab.
- Select theChannelbutton to select the channel to configure.
- Enter theLimitvalues for:
- High Clamp
- Low Clamp
- Select theRamp in Run Modecheck box to enable ramping during Run mode.
- InRamp Ratebox, type the maximum rate of change that an output may make (in engineering units per second).
- Select theDisable All Alarmscheck box to disable alarms for the current channel.
- Select theLatch Limit Alarmsto maintain the high and low limit alarms after the condition ceases.
- Select theLatch Rate Alarmcheck box to maintain the rate alarm after the condition ceases.
- SelectUnlatchto unlatch the adjacent alarm condition.
- SelectUnlatch Allto unlatchallalarms for the channel.
- Use the slider bar to visualize where the process limit trigger values are set for your process.
- SelectApplyto save the changes and continue editing, or selectOKto save the changes and close the dialog.
