Configure the 1756-IT6I and -IT6I2 in Floating Point Mode
Use this procedure to configure the 1756-IT6I and -IT6I2 modules in floating point mode.
- Select the channel button for the desired channel to configure.
- Enter the appropriate scaling values for:
- Low Signal
- Low Engineering
- High Signal
- High Engineering
- Select the up/down arrow in theRTSbox to enter theReal Time Sampleperiod in milliseconds.
- Select the desired temperature scale button.
- Select the down arrow to select the desired input operating range
- Select the down arrow in theSensor Typebox to select a thermocouple-type to linearize the analog signal into a temperature value.
- Enter the appropriate offset value for the calibration bias.
- Select the down arrow in theNotch Filterbox to select the desired filter frequency
- Select the up and down arrows in theDigital Filterbox to select the desired filter time constant in milliseconds.
- If not using a cold junction sensor, select theCold Junction Disablebox.
- If not using a RTB to connect wiring to a module, select theRemote CJ Compensationbox
- In theCold Junction Offsetbox, enter a value to add to the cold junction input during the temperature calculation to compensate for inaccuracies of the cold junction sensor.
- SelectOKto save the changes and close the dialog.
