Importing/Exporting a Program
Use Import from the Controller Fault Handler, Power-Up Handler, or any task folders in the Controller Organizer to import a program.
To import a program from a previously saved .L5K or .L5X:
- Right click on the Controller Fault Handler, Power-Up Handler, Unscheduled Folder, or other task (whichever one you want to contain the program) folder in the Controller Organizer.
- Choose the Import Program option.The Import Program dialog box appears.
- In the File name field, enter the name of the .L5X file that contains the content you want to import.Displays the name of the current tag. If desired, you can rename this tag.You may need to navigate to the appropriate directory to find the file if you do not know its full name and path.
- ClickImportto import the content from the file.The Import Configuration dialog box appears.
- Make the appropriate configuration changes, according to how you would like the content to be imported into your current project.
- ClickOK.
- If Online and in Remote Run mode, the Online Options dialog box appears.
- Choose how you would like the logic edits to be imported.
To export a program in the project to an .L5K or .L5X file:
- From within an open project, select the program you wish to export.
- Click the right mouse button and choose theExportoption.The Export Program dialog box appears.
- In the File name field, enter the name you want to use for the content you are exporting.This is the name of the .L5X file.
- Select the directory where you wish the file to be saved.
- ClickExportto export the content.
