Configure Input Filter time
Filtering is used to eliminate high frequency oscillations or spikes from input or output signals. By removing the high frequency noise, the application can more accurately operate on the variation of the input or output. A pair of
Off -> On
and On -> Off
filters work for a group of 8 input points.To configure input filter time
- On the tab for the device, selectConfiguration.
- In theConfigurationview, for each input point group, select anOff -> Onand anOn -> Offdelay time in milliseconds:DeviceOff -> On ValuesOn -> Off Values1756-IA16, 1756-IA16I, 1756-IM16I, 1756-IN16, 1756-IA321 ms, 2 ms9 ms, 18 ms1756-IB16, 1756-IB16I, 1756-IC16, 1756-IG16, 1756-IH16I, 1756-IV16, 1756-IB32, 1756-IV320 ms, 1 ms, 2 ms0 ms, 1 ms, 2 ms, 9 ms, 18 msIMPORTANT:The input must remain at its new state continuously for at least the duration of the filter setting.For example, if the delay is set at 2 ms forOff -> On, and the input is OFF, the input must remain ON for at least 2 ms for the ON state to be recognized and reported by the device in the data. If the input comes ON for 1.8 ms and then goes OFF, the input device does not recognize an ON state and continues to report OFF.The filter times do not reflect delays due to the input circuit hardware, customer switching device, or customer supply voltage.
