FactoryTalk Updater Collector Opt In

If FactoryTalk Updater Collector was not installed, the settings are disabled. You must re-run the FactoryTalk Updater server installer and select the
Collector
option.
FactoryTalk Updater Collector tracks interactions as you manage software upgrades and licenses. Configure FactoryTalk Updater Collector settings on the Preferences dialog box to consent to data tracking and collection.
  1. Connect the FactoryTalk Updater server with the administrator account of the server workstation.
  2. On the main menu bar, select
    Account
    .
  3. In the
    Account
    dialog box, in the
    Server login
    tab, select
    Switch user
    , and log on using an administrator account.
  4. Log on to the Rockwell Automation Product Compatibility and Download Center.
  5. On the main menu, select
    Preferences
    .
  6. To enable FactoryTalk Updater Collector, in the
    Preferences
    dialog box, under
    I consent to having Rockwell Automation collect my usage data
    , select
    Yes
    .
  7. Enter your BPID number.
    When FactoryTalk Updater Collector is enabled, your server machine name and BPID are a reference for installed software and license usage for all computers configured with the FactoryTalk Updater Server instance.
  8. Go to ftcollector.rockwellautomation.com and register to view your on-premise data by network location.
