Incorrect module state
The operation failed due to the current state of the module, or due to the type of the module. This can happen when:
- The operation attempted was a Module Reset on a 1756-L1 module. Module Reset is not a valid operation on a 1756-L1 module.
- The module rejected an "Unlatch Alarm" or "Unlatch All Alarms" command because the alarms that would have been affected were not latched.
This can happen if any of the following occur:
- the alarm feature is turned-off (Disable All Alarms check box is checked)
- the latching feature is not turned-on for the alarm that you tried to unlatch (Latch Process Alarms or Latch Rate Alarm check box is not checked)
- the feature is fully enabled, however, an alarm event has not occurredTip:After selecting any of the alarm check boxes, selectApplybefore attempting to Unlatch the Alarms.
