Apply a permission set to a routine
Apply a permission set to control access to a specific routine. Permission sets can be applied only when the overall project has been secured.
The security settings that you apply override and operate instead of any security policy applied to the overall project. Permission sets are maintained using the
FactoryTalk Administration Console
.Tip: | To apply a permission set to a component, users must have Component: Modify Permission Set privileges, which are configured in FactoryTalk Security . |
To apply a permission set to a routine:
- In theController Organizeror theLogical Organizer, right-click the routine and selectProperties.
- In theRoutine Propertiesdialog box, in thePermission Setcontrol, select a permission set to apply.
- ClickOK.
