ModuleSyncFault
Applies to: Servo and Servo Drive axes.
ModuleSyncFault is a Boolean attribute. It is set when a 1756-M02AE servo module (for a Servo axis) or a 1756-M08SE SERCOS module (for a Servo Drive axis) detects four consecutive missed position updates from the Logix Designer application motion controller. A ModuleSyncFault shuts down the module.
ModuleSyncFault is a recoverable condition.
To clear a ModuleSyncFault:
- Reduce the loading of the motion task (increase coarse update rate in motion group properties, increase cycle time in the M08SE properties).
- Reconfigure the motion module (1756-M02AE or 1756-M08SE).
The occurrence of a ModuleSyncFault sets bit #1 of the ModuleFaults attribute, the ModuleFault attribute, and bit #1 of the AxisFault attribute.
