PVSD speed reference status

Use the
Speed Reference
tab of the
PVSD Properties
dialog box to monitor the status of the Process Variable Speed Drive (PVSD) instruction for speed reference.
To monitor the speed reference status of PVSD instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Select the arrow next to
    General
    and then select
    Speed Reference
    .
  3. View the read-only parameters:
    • Numeric values
      . Displays the current value of the input, configuration, or output.
    • Device state
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Stopped, Running, Out of service.
    • Device issues
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions, such as Drive fault or I/O fault.
  4. Set the parameter:
    • Speed reference operator setting
      . Type the operator entry of the speed reference (setpoint) to the drive. If the setting requires a signature, this will enforce security from the HMI and disable the setting from the Logix Designer dialog.

    Apply
    .
