AC Line page

Use the settings on the
AC Line
 page to configure the AC Input properties for a regenerative converter.
TIP: Top open the AC Line page:
  1. In the
    Controller Organizer
    , expand the
    Motion Groups
     folder, and double-click an axis.
  2. From the
    Axis Properties
     dialog box, in
    Categories
    , click
    General
    .
  3. In the
    Axis Configuration
     box, select
    Regenerative AC/DC Converter
     or
    Low Harmonic AC/DC Converter
    .
  4. In
    Categories
    , click
    AC Line
    .
Use the settings to:
  • Configure the AC line voltage applied to the converter.
  • Select whether the converter input power to the AC line is single-phase or three-phase.
  • Select the nominal frequency of the AC line connected to the converter.
  • Select which AC Line source is active for the converter.
  • Set the power rating of the AC line source and alternate AC line source.
  • Set the impedance of the AC line source and the alternate AC line source as a percent of the impedance rating.
The
AC Line
 page is available when, on the
General
 page, the
Axis Configuration
 is set to
Regenerative AC/DC Converter
 or
Low Harmonic AC/DC Converter
.
The parameters are unavailable when in online mode and when the axis is
Servo On
.
Parameter
Description
Converter AC Input Voltage
Specifies the AC line voltage during normal operation. The default is 480 Volts (RMS)
Converter AC Input Frequency
Specifies the nominal frequency of the AC line connected to the converter.
The available values are:
  • 50 Hz
  • 60 Hz
Converter AC Input Phasing
Specifies whether the converter input power to the AC line is single-phase or three-phase.
The available values are:
  • Three-Phase
  • Single-Phase
Source Select
Determines the AC Line source that is active for the converter and applies the configured impedance and power rating to the converter.
The available values are:
  • AC Line A
  • AC Line B (Alternate)
Source Power
Specifies the power rating (kVa) of the transformer or generator feeding power to the converter as a percentage of the converter's power rating.
Source Impedance
Specifies the impedance of the AC Line source as a percentage of the transformer or generator impedance rating.
Enter a value 0 to 100.
Alternate Source Power
Specifies the power rating (kVa) of the alternate transformer or generator feeding power to the converter as a percentage of the converter's power rating.
Alternate Source Impedance
Specifies the impedance of the alternate AC Line source as a percentage of the transformer or generator impedance rating.
Enter a value 0 to 100.
Parameters
Opens the
Motion Axis Parameters
 page to modify existing or additional parameters.
Tip:
 The
Parameter List
 page may contain more attributes than the associated page. In some cases, attributes that display on the
Parameter List
 page do not display on the associated page.
Opens the
Master Axis Parameters
 page to configure additional AC Line parameters.
