Parameter List page

Use the
Parameter List
tab to:
  • Display and configure additional attributes for the axis
  • View a subset of the attributes based on the parameter group
The list of items varies accordingly to the type of Axis Configuration or filtering that you select in the
Parameter Group
list. The displayed list can be:
  • All of the parameters (the default if the page is accessed directly)
  • A subset, if the group pull-down was used to select a specific subset
  • The parameters from which you accessed this page if you clicked the
    Parameters
button on the page. For example, if you clicked the
    Parameters
    button on the
    Scaling
    page, the
    Parameter Group
    is set to
    Scaling
    .
    TIP:
    • The parameters in the grid behave the same way (with regard to their appearance and operation) as the parameters do on their associated page. For example, if you change an attribute on a page from enabled to read-only or to disappear altogether, then that attribute is changed in the same way in this grid.
    The
    Parameter List
page may contain more attributes than the associated page. In some cases, attributes that are contained on the
    Parameter List
page are not contained on the associated page.
    TIP:
To open the Parameter List page:
    1. In the
      Controller Organizer
      , expand the
      Motion Groups
      folder, and double-click an axis.
    2. From the
      Axis Properties
      dialog box, in
      Categories
      , click
      Parameter List
      .

Parameter
Description
Parameter Group
Select a parameter from the list and view the attributes on the grid.
Settings on the
General
page, such as the
Axis Configuration
,
Feedback Configuration
, and
Associated Module
determine which attributes display for the selected parameter.
The available parameter groups are:
  • All Parameters
  • Acceleration Loop
  • AC Line
  • Actions
  • Backlash
  • Bus Voltage Loop
  • Bus Observer
  • Compliance
  • Current Reference
  • Current Loop
  • DC Bus
  • Exceptions
  • Feedback 1 Calibration Offset
  • Feedback 2 Calibration Offset
  • Frequency Control
  • Friction
  • Homing
  • Load
  • Load Feedback
  • Master Feedback
  • Motor
  • Motor Feedback
  • Motor Model
  • Planner
  • Polarity
  • Position Loop
  • Scaling
  • Tag
  • Torque/Current Loop
  • Velocity Loop
Tip:
The
General
,
Status
, and
Fault Log
dialog boxes are not part of the parameter list. The
Parameter Group
lists only dialog boxes that contain valid attributes for the current configuration. If a dialog box is blank because all attributes on the dialog box are optional and not supported by the current drive, that dialog box does not appear in Parameter list.
Grid
Displays the set of attributes that are valid for the current configuration of the axis. Also displays attributes from the selected
Parameter Group
.
The grid columns are:
  • Indicator
    - Indicates with an asterisk the modified attributes that are not yet committed to the axis.
  • Name
    - Displays the attribute name. (read-only)
  • Value
    - Displays the value currently set for the attribute. Double-click the cell to modify the value. Click
    OK
    or
    Apply
to commit the changes. This value matches the behavior of the control on the associated dialog box. (read-only, filtered, enabled).
  • Unit
    - Displays the current unit value for the attribute if one exists. (read-only)
Double-click the
Name
heading to sort the grid rows. The columns can be re-sized but revert back to the default size when the dialog box closes.
Associated Page
Returns to the associated dialog box. For example, when accessing this dialog box from the
Frequency Control
dialog box, click
Associated Page
to return to the
Frequency Control
dialog box.
