On this tab, you can select:
- A value to determine the behavior of each output when the controller transitions to Program mode
- A value to determine the behavior of each output when the connection from the controller to the output module has been broken (i.e., communication to the output module was established and then communication failed).
- What to do with outputs in case of a communications failure in Program modeTIP:The module configuration information is stored in the controller and the controller configures the module.
Parameters
Program Mode
Select one of these for each output point:
- Off - output will be 0 or OFF in Program mode
- On - output will be 1 or ON in Program mode
- Hold - output will maintain last state in Program mode
Use this function to determine the behavior of each output when the controller transitions to Program mode. While in Program mode, outputs from the controller are ignored and the output behaves according to one of the above.
Fault Mode
Select one of these for each output point:
- Off - output will be 0 or OFF in communications fault mode
- On - output will be 1 or ON in Communications Fault mode
- Hold - output will maintain current level in Communications Fault mode
Use this function to determine what happens to the output of each point after a communication fault occurs and the module enters Communications Fault mode.
Communication Failure
Select one of these if communications fail:
- Leave outputs in Program mode state
- Change outputs to Fault mode state
This field defines the output state when a communication failure occurs while the controller is in Program mode.
