PAH labels and decimal places
Use the
HART configuration
tab on the PAH Properties
dialog box to enter input labels, unit labels, and decimal place settings for Process Analog HART (PAH) instructions.To enter input labels, unit labels, and decimal place settings for PAH instructions
- On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
- On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select
.
- In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and selectConfigure <tag name>.
- Under theHMItab, selectHART configuration.
- Configure these settings:
- HART variable decimal places. The number of decimal places displayed on the HMI for the associated HART variable.
- HART variable labels. The label displayed on the HMI for the associated HART variable.
- Enable use of the text configuration from the HART device. Enable use of the text configuration from the HART device for analog and digital signal units.
- Digital signal engineering units. The engineering units displayed on the HMI for the associated HART variable when not using the text configuration from the HART device.
- Monitor these parameters:
- TheDigital signal HART unitscolumn displays the units from the HART device that are displayed if the instruction is configured to use text configuration from the HART device.
- When online with the controller, monitor theDevice stateandDevice issuesindicators at the bottom left of the dialog box:
- Device state. Displays the current device state, such asLive,Diagnostic information, orMaintenance required.
- Device issues. Displays fault conditions, such asHART communication lostorModule connection fault.
- SelectApply.
