HMI navigation information for PAO

Use the
HMI Navigation
tab on the
PAO Properties
dialog box to enter HMI information provided by the Process Analog Output (PAO) instruction to label HMI faceplates.
To enter HMI navigation information for Process Analog Output (PAO) instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Select the arrow next to
    HMI
    and then select
    Navigation
    .
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Allow navigation
      . Select to allow navigation to the position feedback and output object from the HMI Navigation faceplate.
    • Object tag name
      . Type the name of the object to navigate to if navigation is allowed. Text should contain the default controller path and default device. For example, /AREA::[SHORTCUT]Tag.
    • Enable navigation to interlock object
      . Select to inform the HMI that an interlock object provides interlock status and that navigation to the interlock object’s faceplate is enabled.
    • Enable navigation to a smart device object
      . Select to inform the HMI that a smart device object provides additional information and that navigation to the smart device object’s faceplate is enabled.
  4. View the read-only parameters:
    • Device state
      . When the Logix Designer application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Off, Pulse on, or Out of service.
    • Device issues
      . When the Logix Designer application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions, such as Feedback fault or I/O fault.
