PFO status and parameters

Use the
General
tab of the
PFO Properties
dialog box to monitor the status of the PFO instruction or function block and to set the parameter values for the PFO instruction or function block including CV rate of change limit, ratios, and offsets.
To monitor the status and set parameters for PFO instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Set the parameters:
    • Rate of change limit
. The input CV rate of change limit (increase or decrease) in engineering units/seconds.
    • Ratio
. The configuration for CV1 to CV8 ratios. These parameters are used to calculate the corresponding output.
    • Offset
. The configuration for CV1 to CV8 offsets. These parameters are used to calculate the corresponding output.
  3. View the read-only parameters:
    • Device state
      . When the
      Logix Designer
application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Off, Pulse on, or Out of service.
    • Device issues
      . When the
      Logix Designer
application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions, such as Feedback fault or I/O fault.
    • Input CV value (after clamping and ramping)
. The value of the CV after clamping and ramping (engineering units).
    • Takeup bias
      . The calculated outputs in engineering units. For example, Out_CV1 = Val_CV*Cfg_CV1Ratio + Cfg_CV1Offset + CV1Bias.
    • Output
. The output to downstream block # (Out # Engineering Unit). The output displays calculated value which is the final (target) value versus the ramped input CV.
  4. Select
    Apply
    .
