Share a private project

You can use FactoryTalk Design Studio to upload a project in a remote repository and enable others to open the project. You can also store .L5X files in a FactoryTalk Vault solution.
IMPORTANT: Shared projects are the only supported project type. If you open a private project, an
Unsupported Project
 dialog box will appear asking you to share the project. 
To share a private project
:
  1. Open the private project.
  2. In the
    Unsupported Project
     dialog box, select
    Share project
    .
  3. You can also select
    File > Source control > Share project
     to open the
    Make project
     shared dialog box.
  4. In
    Project Location in the FactoryTalk Vault
    , select to share the local project in an existing FactoryTalk Vault solution or to create a FactoryTalk Vault solution.
  5. Select
    File > Source control > Share project
     to open the
    Make project shared
     dialog box.
  6. Select
    Project Location in the FactoryTalk Vault
    , to share the local project in an new or existing FactoryTalk Vault solution.
  7. Select
    Share project
     to convert the private project to a shared project in the FactoryTalk Vault solution.
