Work with FactoryTalk Vault

Returns to the Quick Access Applications screen

Uploads project files from your local machine to FactoryTalk Twin Studio storage. You can upload up to ten files at a time. When you select Upload you are taken to a standard browser to browse to and select your files. You then select the location where you want to store the files and are presented with a summary of your actions before selecting Finish.

This selection allows you to put files that you have modified in Twin Studio in to FactoryTalk Vault. There are two tabs on the initial screen. One for Vault projects and one for Unknown projects.

Select the region and solution folder where the project you worked on is stored.
Add a commit message so you, or someone else who works on the file, knows the changes that were made to the Project.
Select Push. The modified files are  stored and accessible in your FactoryTalk Vault.

Select a solution from the drop down list or search for a solution.
Select the region where the project was created.
The names of available Vault solutions appear in the list. When you select a project the files associated with that project appear on the screen below the project.
Select the files you modified and wish to put in Vault.
Select Push. The modified files are stored and accessible in your FactoryTalk Vault.

This selection allows you to select projects from different repositories in FactoryTalk Vault and work on them in your FactoryTalk Twin Studio Quick Access session.

Select the repository you want to pull files from.
Select the associated project you want to work with. The files appear in the selected files list. You have an option to delete them from your project.
Select Pull. You are shown a summary of your selections.
If correct select Finish. The files are now available in your FactoryTalk Twin Studio Quick Access session.
