Use auto hide tool windows

You can automatically hide a Tool Window when you click or view another window. When you Auto Hide a Tool Window, you save room on the
Logix Designer
application main window.
Auto hide restrictions:
  • You can only Auto Hide already docked Tool Windows.
  • You cannot Auto Hide a floating Tool Window.
  • You cannot float or drag an Auto Hide window.
You can size a displayed auto hide window. Position the mouse pointer on the window border next to the main window area until the pointer becomes a two-headed arrow. Press and hold the mouse button and drag the double-headed arrow to resize the window. When the window is the desired size, release the mouse button.
To auto hide a Tool Window:
  1. In the Tool Window's title bar, click auto hide
    (Auto Hide)
    . The window is hidden from the
    Logix Designer
    application main window and a tab for the Auto Hide Tool Window appears in an auto hide strip on a border of the main window.Auto hide window tab
    To select the Auto Hide option, you can also click dropping locator down sign selected
    (Window State)
    in the window's title bar or right-click the title bar.
  2. To redisplay the Auto Hide window, click or mouse over the window's tab in the auto hide strip.
    To hide the Auto Hide window again, you can click or view another window.
  3. To remove Auto Hide option from a Tool Window, dock the window.
