PVSD HMI command buttons

Use the
Command configuration
tab on the
PVSD Properties
dialog box to label the HMI command buttons for Process Variable Speed Drive (PVSD) instructions.
To label HMI command buttons for PVSD instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Select the arrow next to
    HMI
    and then select
    Command configuration
    .
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Command button
      . Type the label to display on the command button. By default, label information appears, for example, start forward, start reverse, stop. Clearing the label information affects the information displayed on the command buttons in the
      General
      tab. Images will appear with no text.
    • Target state
      . Type the label to display for the target state, for example, Running, Forward, Running reverse, or Stopped.
    • Transition state
      . Type the label to display for the transition state, for example, Starting forward, Starting reverse, or Stopping .
  4. View the read-only parameters:
    • Device state
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Stopped, Running, or Out of service.
    • Device issues
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions, such as Drive fault or I/O fault.
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
