Create a variable type

Create a variable type in
Project view
. You can then create variables of the variable type.
  1. From
    Project view
    , drag an existing variable into a folder in
    Type view
    .
    The variable type appears in both
    Type view
     and in the
    Project view
     folder that has the same name as the folder in
    Type view
    .
    TIP: The variable in
    Project view
     is appended with
    (type)
     and the original variable that you dragged from
    Project view
     is now an instance of the type.
  2. (optional) In
    Properties
    , select
    Add
    , select
    Display name
    , and enter the display name.
  3. (optional) In
    Properties
    , select
    Add
    , select
    Description
    , and enter the description.
