Controller Properties dialog box - PlantPAx tab settings

The
Controller Properties
 dialog box displays controller configuration information for the open project and, when online, for the attached controller. The
PlantPAx
tab displays configuration information for PlantPAx controllers.
TIP:
The
PlantPAx
tab is available only for PlantPAx controllers.

Description
Use PlantPAx Tasking Model
Enables and disables the tasking model.
Tasking model restricts the project to a predefined set of tasks with default configuration and editing restrictions. Enabling tasking model creates projects that conform to
Rockwell Automation®
recommendations for the PlantPAx controller.
Requirements to enable or disable tasking model:
  • The controller must be offline. The
    Use PlantPAx Tasking Model
     option is not available when the project is online with the controller or in a connected state.
  • The logged in user must have
    Controller: Modify Properties
     permission. The
    Use PlantPAx Tasking Model
     option is not available if the project is secured and the user does not have this permission.
Use PlantPAx Tasking Model
 is enabled by default for newly created PlantPAx controller projects. The option is disabled when converting an existing project from another controller type to a PlantPAx controller.
Instruction Usage
Select to open the
Instruction Usage
 window to view which PlantPAx and process instructions are used in which tasks. This view provides a way to see the overall process execution load on a project for each task.
