PD4SD input values and commands
Use the
General
tab on the PD4SD Properties
dialog box to monitor the instruction status and send online commands for Process Discrete 2-, 3-, and 4-State Device (PD4SD) instructions.To monitor input values and send online commands for PD4SD instructions
- On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
- On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
- In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and selectConfigure <tag name>.
- Select these commands when online with the controller.TIP: Visibility of the command buttons is dynamic based on the configuration of the device.
- Bypassable permissives & interlocks: Check. Tells the instruction that all permissives and interlocks, bypassable or not, are to be checked during operation.
- Bypassable permissives & interlocks: Bypass. Tells the instruction that bypassable permissives and interlocks are bypassed, or ignored, during operation.
- Operator/Maintenance online commands:
- State 0. Command the device to state 0.
- State 1. Command the device to state 1.
- State 2. Command the device to state 2.
- State 3. Command the device to state 3.
The action is immediate if the command request does not need to be confirmed by the operator. If the command request requires a signature, this will enforce security from the HMI and disable the command from the Logix Designer dialog.TIP: Use theCommand Configurationtab to add labels for the State command buttons. - Sheds and alarms reset.Reset all sheds and alarms of the instruction. The button is enabled when the device and the instruction are ready for reset action. The action is immediate if the command request does not need to be confirmed by the operator. If the command request requires a signature, this will enforce security from the HMI and disable the command from the Logix Designer dialog. The button is disabled when the device is offline.
- Physical/Virtual.Switch between physical and virtual operation. In physical operation, the instruction monitors and controls physical equipment. In virtual operation, a simulation of the equipment is used, and the actual equipment is left idle.
- Monitor the output values for the current state.
- SelectApply.
