Use docked tool windows

You can dock a Docked window Tool Window so that is appears in a stationary position on the
Logix Designer
application main window.
Docked window restrictions:
  • You can dock auto hide tool windows
  • You can dock floating tool windows
You can size a docked window. Position the mouse pointer on the window border next to the main window area until the pointer becomes a two-headed arrow. Press and hold the mouse button and drag the double-headed arrow to resize the window. When the window is the desired size, release the mouse button.
To dock tool windows:
The Dock option appears for Tool Windows in the following two states:
  • Auto Hide.
    To dock an Auto Hide Tool Window, in the window's title bar, click dock (Dock). To select the Dock option, you can also click dropping locator down sign selected (Window State) or right-click the window's title bar.
  • Floating.
    To dock a floating Tool Window, right-click the floating window's toolbar and select Dock. You can also double-click the window's title bar or drag and drop the window to the desired docking position. For information about dragging and dropping windows, see Use Drag and Drop Functionality.
