Force in the Ladder Editor

Apply and remove forcing in the Ladder Editor in any of the controller modes.
To force in the Ladder Editor
Force Bool values, box instructions, and remove forces in the Ladder Editor.
To force a Bool value:
  1. Select the desired BOOL value.
  2. Choose the
    Force On
    ,
    Force Off
    , or
    Remove Force
    command, as appropriate.
    The word ON or OFF appears next to the forced BOOL values. When I/O forces are enabled, a solid orange triangle icon (ebx_237164847) also appears next to the forced BOOL value.
    TIP:
    • Force buffers are only applied to produced tag data as the data is being sent out in the forced image.
    • Select the color used to indicate forcing. Choose
      Tools > Options
      , then select the
      Font/Color
      tab.
To force box instruction operands:
  1. Select the desired operand.
  2. Choose the
    Monitor/Edit Force Value Of
    command.
  3. The Data Monitor opens. Enter new forcing data for the operand.
To remove a force from a box instruction's operand:
  1. Select the desired operand.
  2. Choose the
    Remove Force
    command.
  3. When I/O Forces are enabled, a solid orange triangle icon (ebx_237164847) appears next to the forced box instruction operand value. Values display in the color selected for Enabled/Disabled force information, indicating that the operand is affected by a force.
