Auto Verification Editing
Auto Verification (Strict Mode Editing) is an option in which the Ladder Editor automatically displays an alert (by performing an audit) containing any errors that are a result of the newly accepted pending edits.
Auto Verification Editing occurs when navigating off the rung.
Any errors found are placed into the error window. Each time an audit takes place, the current contents of the Error Window are cleared before the new errors come in and the Error window is shown (if not currently visible). If no errors are found, the error window is empty. Even if errors are placed in the Error Window, any allowed operation within the controller application can continue.
When pasting or dropping one or more items into a routine, each Ladder element and its fields (as specified by the Auto Verification Editing Option) are audited. Also, any modification performed to the routine as a result of an Undo/Redo action is audited based on its state prior to the paste operation.
When morphing an instruction, the Ladder element and its fields are audited.
If an error occurs, you can choose not to continue with any other operation. In this case, multiple object paste, Drag/Drop, and Undo/Redo are disabled.
