PVLV device feedback
Use the
Device feedback
tab on the PVLV Properties
dialog box to configure the feedback that the Process Valve (PVLV) instruction provides and uses.To configure device feedback for PVLV instructions
- On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
- On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select
.
- In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and selectConfigure <tag name>.
- Under theAdvancedtab, selectDevice feedback.
- Configure these settings. Use theHMI > Command configurationtab to define labels for positions 1 and 2.
- Device provides. Select thePosition 1andPosition 2checkboxes to indicate that the connected valve provides a feedback status signal for those positions, and that the signal is wired and can be processed in the instruction.
- Device uses. Select thePosition 1andPosition 2checkboxes to indicate that the instruction should use the feedback inputs to determine the actual position of the valve. Clear the checkboxes to indicate that the feedback inputs should be bypassed and the valve position assumed.
- Fault when both feedback inputs are. SelectOnto configure the instruction to report a fault when both feedback inputs are on. SelectOffto configure the instruction to report a fault when both feedback inputs are off.
- When online with the controller, monitor theDevice stateandDevice issuesindicators at the bottom left of the dialog box:
- Device state. Displays the current valve state, such asPulse continuouslyorOut of service.
- Device issues. Displays fault conditions, such asFeedback faultorTransit stall.
- SelectApply.
