Import/Paste Configuration dialog - Programs tab settings

This information describes imported program tags on the
Import Configuration - Programs
dialog box.
Row Header
The leftmost part of the grid provides an indication of the condition of the component that was imported into the existing project, as follows:
Import_Configuration_dialog_warning_flag_without_astericks
Indicates why the component needs attention. Hover the cursor over the red flag icon and a tool tip appears and indicates the reason for the message.
fixed_product_safety_warning
Indicates a safety warning.
Import Name
Displays the name of the component as read from the import file.
An import name shows only for programs that exist in the project and in the import content.
Operation
Displays the operation for each tag. The operation is dependent upon the operation that is selected for the program being imported (that is, the
Operation
value on the
Configure Program Properties
dialog box):
  • Create - for programs that exist in the import content but not in the project and the operation for the program is set to
    Create
    or
    Overwrite
    .
  • Discard - for programs that exist in the import content, but not in the project and the operation for the program is set to
    Discard
    or
    Use Existing
    .
  • Delete - for programs that exist in the project but not in the import content and the operation for the program is set to
    Overwrite
    .
  • Use Existing - for each colliding program and the operation for the program is set to
    Use Existing
    .
  • Overwrite - for each colliding program and the operation for the program is set to
    Overwrite
    .
Differences LogDesPIODiffIcon
Indicates if there are differences between the program that is in the import content and the program that is in the project.
Also identifies if the program exists in the import content, or if it exists in the program that is in the project, or if it exists in both.
Click the browse button in the Details column to see details such as differences in connections, tags, or routines.
These icons provide an at-a-glance indication of how the imported content matches the content of the program that exists in the project:
LogDesPIODiffIcon
Indicates a component that collides with another component, and has differences in the component definitions.
sources_only (2)
Indicates a component that is present in the import content and not in the project.
destination_only
Indicates a component that is present in the project and not in the import content.
Blank
(no icon)
Indicates a component that collides with another component, but has an identical component definition.
Final Name
Shows the contents of the
Import Name
box, unless
Operation
is set to
Discard
or the program exists in the project but not in the import content (the
Import Name
is blank).
For cases where the program exists in the project but not in the import content, this box contains the name of the program in the project.
Details LogDesPIODetailsIcon
Select the browse button to open the
Collision
dialog box in which you view differences, if any, between the imported component and the existing component.
  • In the
    Property Compare
tab, a message is shown at the top of the dialog indicating whether there are differences in the property values between the imported component and the component that exists in the project. Where property values are different, the name of the property is shown in bold print and the row is highlighted.
  • In the
    Project Reference
tab, there is a cross reference listing of where the existing component is used in the project.
Inhibit
Shows if the program is selected as inhibited. An inhibited program does not execute until it is uninhibited.
If the
Operation
for the import is set to
Create
or
Overwrite
, you have the option to select or clear the check box to change the inhibit state of the program.
The column is blank if the program is not inhibited.
Program Type
Shows the program type of the component from the import content if
Operation
is set to
Create
,
Overwrite
, or
Discard
. Shows the program's type from the project if
Operation
is set to
Delete
or
Use-Existing
.
Parent Program
The program that exists in the import content becomes a child program of the parent program upon import.
If the program that exists in the import content is not imported into the program that is in the project, the program that is in the project is a child program of the parent program.
Scheduled In
Shows where the program that exists in the import content is scheduled upon import.
If the program exists in the project, and
Operation
is set to
Use Existing
or
Delete
, shows where the program that is in the project is scheduled.
Description
Shows the description of the component.
