Import Configuration Dialog - Component References Overview

Use this dialog box to configure and view other components (references to tasks, programs, routines, or modules).
The Import Content shows the routine name (that the components are being imported into) and any references in the References folder (if there are any referenced tags, data types, Add-On Instructions, or other components).
When the routine is selected, the properties of the routine are displayed, along with information about how many components are being imported, and where they will be inserted.
Other Component are references via logic that does not exist in the import file and therefore only names are available. Other Component are components that are referenced by name in the imported logic, but whose definitions are not included in the import file. Configuring these components involves changing their final (if necessary) to cause them to associate with the right components in the project.
Examples of other Components are:
  • References to routines specified in instructions, such as JSR, FOR, SFR, SFP
  • References to a Task through an EVENT instruction
  • References to a phase though PCMD, PCLF, PATT, PDET, or POVR instructions
  • References to higher level components (for example, tasks, programs, or modules) through GSV and SSV instructions
