Parameter
Description
Source Project
Displays the name of the project from which the localization file was generated.
Languages to be Imported
A summary of all of the translations that will be imported from the localization file chosen in step 1 of the import wizard.
The list of languages is broken up into languages that, when imported, are new to the project and languages that, when imported, will update translations that already exist in the project. This is an important distinction in that any updates to existing language translations may affect documentation already existing in the project.
Behavior for Languages Updates
You can overwrite existing files in one of two ways:
  • Overwrite Existing Language Content with Localization File Content - any translation that is imported that matches the content of existing translation overwrites the existing translation.
  • By default, the box is checked when updates are identified. By default the box is unchecked and appears dimmed when no updates are included in the import.
  • Overwrite Existing Language Content with Blanks as they Appear in the Localization File - if this box is not checked, blank entries in the import file are skipped. If it is checked, existing translations are replaced by a blank entry, if a blank entry exists for that translation in the import file.
  • By default, the box is unchecked.
