Susana González, EMEA President of Rockwell Automation, has been appointed to the Grifols Board of Directors as an independent board member for a term of four years.
González’s career has spanned very different business contexts in different regions of the world and has given her extensive experience in the fields of digital technology and industrial automation. With this broad global and industrial knowledge, she will help Grifols meet its global goals. Grifols is a global healthcare company and leading manufacturer of plasma-derived medicines with a proven track record of more than 110 years contributing to people’s health and well-being.
Born in Asturias, in Northwestern Spain, González has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Asturias Business School and an MBA from San Francisco State University (USA). After completing her MBA, she began her professional career in California and then spent three years in Shanghai, China. She later moved to Germany, where she was resident for the last eight years before moving back to Spain.
González began her professional career in the electronics industry, holding various positions at TE Connectivity. She joined Rockwell Automation in May 2017, serving as regional vice president of sales. Since January 2019, she has been responsible for growing the company's business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) by helping companies undertake digital transformation through The Connected Enterprise. She currently leads the Rockwell Automation business in the EMEA region from its offices in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid.
González is an active member of the Global Business Women Leaders Council, a think tank designed for senior executive women to discuss trends and issues in a variety of industries and executive roles.
