Complete Hookup Diagnostics and Auto Tuning

After you add and configure your modules and axes, you can download your program. After going online, you can complete hookup diagnostics and auto tuning.

To run hookup diagnostics and auto tuning

To download your program, from the
Communications
menu, select
Go Online
.
TIP: Your program can be a blank program, but it must include complete configuration information for all your modules and axes.
Under the
I/O Configuration
folder, right-click the first motion module.
Select
Properties
.
Decide on the appropriate button to select:
If:	Then:
You assigned your axis to channel 0	Select the button next to the Channel 0 field
You assigned your axis to channel 1	Select the button next to the Channel 1 field
Select the
Hookup
tab.
Run the hookup diagnostics. For more information about hookup diagnostics, see the ControlLogix Motion Module User Manual.
Select the
Tune Servo
tab.
Run auto tuning. For more information about auto tuning, see the ControlLogix Motion Module User Manual.
When diagnostic testing and auto tuning are complete, select
Finish
.
For each axis, repeat steps 4 through 9.
For each module, repeat steps 2 through 11.
