PD4SD time settings

Use the
Advanced > Time configuration
 tab on the
PD4SD Properties
 dialog box to configure time parameters for Process Discrete 2-, 3-, or 4-State Device (PD4SD) instructions.
To configure time settings for PD4SD instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Select the
    Advanced > Time configuration
     tab.
  3. Configure these settings:
    • Time to pulse output
      . Enter the number of seconds to pulse each output. Enter
      0
       to hold the output continuously.
    • Feedback delay for loopback test or when feedback not used.
       Enter the number of seconds to delay feedback for a loopback test or when the feedback is not used. Use this setting to configure a virtual feedback time.
    • Time after new state requested to reach that state before fault
      . Enter the number of seconds to allow for device state feedback after a state command. If state feedback is not received within the allotted time, the instruction reports a
      Position Failure
       status.
    • Time to sound audible on commanded energize
      . Enter the number of seconds to sound an audible notification when the device is commanded to energize.
  4. Select
    Apply
    .
