Ch0x view parameters (5069-OF4/OF8)
The
Ch0x
view for 5069-OF4/OF8 includes these parameters:Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Disable Channel | Disables the channel when not intended to be used. This prevents erroneous fault reporting (for example, no load or open wire) and also prevents the FLT LED for that channel from illuminating. |
Output Type | Sets the output type for the channel. Available options are:
|
Output Range | Sets the output range for the Current or Voltage output type. |
Channel Offset | To compensate for any error in actuator operation, the device allows an offset to be added to the output channel value sent from the controller. Values are entered in Engineering Units (EU). The default value for the channel offset is 0.0. |
Hold for Initialization | Causes the physical output to hold its present state until the value commanded by the controller matches the value at the output screw terminal within 0.1% of full scale. This feature prevents spiking of the output when transitioning into Run mode from Program mode, when recovering from a fault state, or at power up. |
Output State in Program Mode Hold Last State | Causes the output to remain at the last value sent from the controller prior to being placed in Program mode. After the defined duration has elapsed, the output goes to the Final Fault State value, entered in engineering units. |
Output State in Program Mode User Defined Value | Forces the output to whatever value is entered in the field. The value is entered in the engineering units defined by the scaling parameters for the channel. |
When Communication Fails in Program Mode Leave outputs in Program Mode state | Causes the output to behave as defined by the Output State in Program Mode selection. |
When Communication Fails in Program Mode Change outputs to Fault Mode state | Causes the output to behave as defined by the Output State in Fault Mode selection. |
Engineering Units | Sets the unit of measure used for the channel. |
High Signal | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. High Signal is in terms of the input signal units and corresponds to High Engineering when scaled.High Signal must be greater than Low Signal . |
High Engineering | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. High Engineering corresponds to High Signal and helps determine the engineering units that the signal values scale into. |
Low Signal | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. Low Signal is in terms of the input signal units and corresponds to Low Engineering when scaled. |
Low Engineering | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. Low Engineering corresponds to Low Signal and helps determine the engineering units that the signal values scale into. |
Output State in Fault Mode Hold Last State | Causes the output to remain at the last value sent from the controller prior to loss of communication. |
Output State in Fault Mode User Defined Value | Forces the output to whatever value is entered in the field. The value is entered in the engineering units defined by the scaling parameters for the channel. |
Fault State Duration | Determines the length of time the Fault Value parameter value is held prior to the Final Fault State. |
Final Fault State Value | Defines the value, in Engineering Units, to which the output goes after the Fault State Duration time expires. |
Diagnostics | Opens Channel0x Diagnostics to view diagnostics information for the channel. |
